About Girl Scouts of Beijing

Who we are

We are Girl Scouts of Beijing, over 100 girls and 33 volunteers who believe in enriching the lives of our G.I.R.L's (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.  Girl Scouts was first founded by Juliette Gordon Low over 100 years ago.

Today, over 1.8 million Girl Scouts all over the world discover the fun, friendship and power of working together through a variety of enriching experiences.

 Girl Scouting helps girls

  • Reach their full individual potential
  • Relate to others with increasing understanding, skill and respect
  • Develop values to guide their actions and provide the foundation for sound decision making
  • Contribute to the improvement of society through their abilities, leadership skills and cooperation with others

Lead like a Girl Scout

Girl Scouts provides our G.I.R.L.s with a wonderful opportunity to grow and learn.  Girl Scouts are innovators, big thinkers, ground breakers and role models.

She’s bold, honest, and determined to succeed. In her mind failure is no reason not to get back up and try again, and again, and again. That explains why half of all U.S. businesswomen were Girl Scouts.

Thinking outside the box is her specialty, so she’s always looking for a creative way to take action. A clear correlation: 75 percent of current female U.S. Senators were Girl Scouts.

Courageous and strong, she’s keen to try new things and embrace the unfamiliar. It's no wonder that nearly all of the 40 women who have flown in space were Girl Scouts.

She’s confident, responsible, and committed to changing the world. Here's proof: Every year, Girl Scouts collectively spend more than 75 million hours improving their communities.
